It was another enjoyable day on the fourth day of the 2013 YKAA Summer Camp. Teacher Dae JangGeum reviewed the previous day's lecture and theme with a quiz show. She went over important points of the Three Kingdoms, Goryeo Dynasty and Joseon Dynasty. Then she lectured about various Korean historical figures.
2013 YKAA Summer Camp 4일째 날도 즐겁게 보냈습니다. 전체 강의를 맡으신 대장금 선생님이 지난 3일간 배운 삼국시대, 고려시대, 그리고 조선시대에서 꼭 기억해야 할 내용을 중심으로 퀴즈쇼로 함께 복습하였습니다. 그런 후에 오늘의 주제 강의인 한국 역사 위인 연대순으로 살펴보기를 시작하였습니다.
She spoke about Gwanggaeto The Great, Admiral Jang Bogo, Scientist Choe Mu-seon, Admiral Yi Sun-sin, Baekbeom Kim Koo, and President Park Geun-hye. The lecture started with a "Who Am I" quiz. After hearing 5 sentences describing each figure, students had to guess who it was. The team leaders gave a more in-depth presentation of each historical figure with role playing.
함께 공부한 위인은 고구려의 광개토대왕, 통일신라 장군인 장보고, 고려의 과학자이며 장군인 최무선, 나라를 지킨 삼도수군통제사 이순신, 독립운동가 백범 김구 선생님, 그리고 대한민국 박근혜 대통령에 관하여 공부하였습니다. 강의는 “나는 누구일까요?” 퀴즈로 시작하였는데 각 인물에 대한 5가지 문장을 말하여주고 학생들이 그 인물 이름을 개인 칠판에 적는 방식이었습니다. 90%의 학생이 답을 잘 알고 있었습니다. 팀 리더들이 각 위인의 브로마이드를 들고 나와서 좀 더 자세한 설명과 함께 롤플레이를 해 주었습니다.
After they learned about all of the famous people, the students were given time to think about what kind of personality or characteristics each one had as a leader. They wrote what they thought on a Post-It and stuck it on the picture cut-outs of each figure.
각 위인에 관하여 배운 후에 학생들은 어떤 점이 그 분들을 리더가 되게했는지에 관하여 생각해 보고 그에 맞는 단어를 포스트잇에 써서 브로마이드에 붙이는 일을 했습니다.
After the lecture, all campers divided into four groups (One direction, Jikji, Seonbi and Obok) and did classroom activities.
전체 강의를 마친 후에 학생들은 다시 4그룹으로 나뉘어서 반에서 활동을 하였습니다.
Today's snack, the five-color spirit Kimbap, represented the harmony of nature. Five differently colored ingredients were used in the Kimbap: kim for black, rice for white, carrot and ham for red, pickled radish and egg for yellow, and pickles for blue.
오늘의 간식은 오방 김밥으로 검정색의 김, 흰색의 밥, 빨간색의 당근과 햄, 노랑색의 단무지와 계란, 그리고 파란색의 오이 등의 재료를 통하여 자연의 하모니와 한민족의 의식주 생활에서 발견되는 5가지 색 (검정, 하양, 빨강, 파랑, 노랑)을 생각하는 시간이 되었습니다.
After the fun snacks, there was another class activity. Following the activity, all teams gave presentations on "Who is my role model”, a comparison of two figures, and a “Who Am I” quiz. The fourth day ended with everyone dancing and singing "Dokdo is Korean land".
즐거운 간식 시간을 마치고 반으록 가서 프로젝트를 하였습니다. 그 후에 모두 다시 모여서 그룹 별로 “나의 롤 모델은?” “두 인물 비교” “나는 누구일까요?” 등의 프리젠테이션을 하고 “독도는 우리 땅” 노래를 부른 후 4일째 활동도 마쳤습니다.
