The second day of the 2013 YKAA Summer camp ended enjoyably. Teacher Hunmin lectured about today’s theme, “The Independence Movement” as below

During the lecture, all teachers performed as marching people on March First Movement. They waved Taegeukgi and shouted “Long Live Korea!”
Teacher Horang brought 80-year-old real YKA banner which was given by her grandparents and shared the meaning of it. It has 4 different colors such as white, yellow, red and blue. Each color has the meaning that young Korean should obey. The logo of the YKA flag is a goose which means cooperation.
Today's snack was Rice Balls and nectarine. All campers made their own rice balls commemorating Independence Army’s braveness. Nectarine was produced by The Kim Brothers Co. during Japanese Occupation Period. They became the first millionaire among Korean American community and helped Independence movements overseas.
After the snack they had another class activity. Afterward, all teams gave presentations about the Independent Activist, Independence Newspaper and a timeline of Independence movement.
